Jan. 8th, 2014 04:36 pmThere are many different types of vampires in fiction, leading to.many interpretations of weakness. Here will be a list of weaknesses as they pertain to D-Roy and how they affect him.
Sunlight: The most common weakness of any vampire. D-Roy shares this weakness as well. Under direct sunlight, D-Roy will burn and eventually disintegrate. As a member of Clan Mekhet, D-Roy will burn especially fast, and during daylight hours undergoes an intense sleep state known as torpor.
Fire: Once again, fire is extremely damaging to a vampire, and especially so to D-Roy due to his clan heritage.
stake to the heart: While not lethal, taking a stake to the heart will cause a vampire to enter a torpor state until the stake is removed.
Emotional state: The nature of the Beast changes with each clan. For Clan Mekhet, the Beast slowly eats away at a vampire's ability to feel emotions, effectively turning them into automatons over time.
For all these weaknesses, being a member of Clan Mekhet does come with natural talents to make up for their shortcomings. Listed below are powers and abilities D-Roy has acquired over the years.
Animalism: D-Roy is capable of bonding with and commanding a number of animals for an extended period of time.
Auspex: Above and beyond normal senses, even for vampires, a master of auspex is capable of expanding their perception into extrasensory. Using this, D-Roy is capable of hypnosis as well as possessing of extremely powerful mundane senses.
Obfuscate: Clan Mekhet's nickname among kindred are Shadows. This is due to their natural predisposition toward stealth. With Obfuscate, D-Roy is capable of blending with shadows to conceal his image. Passing view of him won't alert most to his presence, even if that person knows him.
In addition to the above, D-Roy is of the Ordo Dracul, a group studying ways to transcend the more horrific drawbacks of being Das Vampyr. Through this they have developed a discipline known as the Coils of the Dragon. D-Roy has already mastered the Coil of the Beast, the discipline which masters the progress of the dark creature in every vampire. In addition, he has learned two tiers of the Coil of Flesh, allowing him to appearmore human and consume food.
