Dae-Mun, better known as D-Roy, was born in Seoul, South Korea. At a very young age, he and his family immigrated to the United States in order to pursue the American Dream. Unable to get jobs beyond the menial, D-Roy grew up in the rougher parts of the city, and by his teenage years, was jumped into a gang. A brilliant boy, his talents soon showed a hand toward strategy, and rose quickly to become a lieutenant in his gang. College didn't seem possible, so between odd jobs, D-Roy would hustle or plan new actions to expand territory. Under his guidance, his gang became one of the most formidable in his area.
It was after a night of celebration that things changed for the man. Fully grown now, he attended a party in celebration of a successful takeover. During the event, a drive by occurred killing nearly everyone at the party and leaving D-Roy at the doors of Death.
When he awoke, a strange man greeted him, naming himself Cyrus. Cyrus had treatedD-Roy and nursed him back to health. He then explained the incident was a coup, a ploy by one of their recent allies to cut off the leadership and take the pawns in one fell swoop. Cyrus had watched D-Roy for some time, admiring his adaptability. It was then he made his offer: if D-Roy joined him, he would help in his vengeance.
Cyrus was a vampire, a very old one that had long since grown lonely. He wished D-Roy to become his protoge, and learn the ways of the kindred. Burning with a nger, D-Roy accepted, and after the two gathered enough information, kidnapped and imprisoned those responsible for the deaths of his friends. He was Embraced before the culprits, and as he awoke to Undeath, the Beast within all vampires surfaced. He bled the victims dry and left their lifeless corpses on hideous display before the location they had killed the members of D-Roy's gang. When this was done, Cyrus led D-Roy to New York City.
It didn't take long for D-Roy to experience what many vampires call the Requiem, the psychological state all vampires eventually come to understand. S He was no longer alive, ageless, and as time went on, he found himself to be losing his ability to feel emotions. This led him to join a special covenants known as the Ordo Dracul, a society focused on reclaiming their humanity eventually. Through this he hoped to slow or even stop the spread of his condition.
Since then, D-Roy has risen in the New York coteries, the largest of which have taken a page from Cosa nostra and split the city into territories. D-Roy now serves the Prince of Manhattan in an intelligence capacity, gathering Intel on anyone who may harm the kindred living ion the island.
D-Roy is an original character from white Wolf's Vampire: the Requiem. Journal contains info on powers and abilities.
